Tastefully decorated house to the smallest detail, very clean and comfortable. Very central location. Excellent host and staff, very helpful and informative. Amazing breakfast and tea. Highly recommended also for longer stays.
Poonamu2022 - 22nd November 2022We completed a two week long trip of Rajasthan recently, and the beautiful locales, food and hospitality bowled us over. A special mention goes to Hamari Haveli in Jaisalmer where we stayed for two days. There is a saying that a place is only as good as the people living there. And this was exemplified by Mr. Bhanu Srimali, the immensely interesting host of the haveli. Both the haveli and Bhanu took us through the rich history of theirs and Rajasthan, in their own ways - the haveli showed how people lived and went about their daily lives, while Bhanu regaled us with local stories and long standing customs and traditions. The large terrace was specially a treat for us, and the proximity of the haveli to the fort was quite convenient. Bhanu also arranged delectable local food items for us - the ‘dal pakwaan’ I will never forget. He also arranged a knowledgeable guide for us to visit the local sights. I would highly recommend the beautiful haveli and the delightful host.
Mukul040 - 11th November 2022"Hamari Haveli " is truly own place to stay. Rooms are clean & hygienic with wonderful curtains decorated with classic objects. Provides local delicious breakfast.. Amazing stay amidst the golden city of Jaisalmer. Bhanuji the Host with one man army ... provides anything as requested.. provided wonderful and conversant guide ... provided taxi for sightseeing.. Highly recommended stay at Hamari Haveli...
Harisiddh - 15th November 2022Love love love the place. It has that beautiful cultural charm to it. Love the location. The hosts bhanu Bhai and Mr. Luca are very warm and make sure you are comfortable. They will help you with everything you need- guide , transport, food recommendations.
The rooms are very very cosy and comfortable. .the terrace was our little place to unwind.
Overall an amazing stay in Jaisalmer.
Have you ever fancied living in a Haveli? Well, what if I told you that you could actually do that? And that too, in a 250-year-old haveli.
That's precisely what Hamari Haveli has to offer. I had the opportunity to stay at this haveli for 2 nights with my family and by the time we left from there, I knew we could call it "Hamari Haveli - truly ours".
Because that's exactly the sort of personal touch that the haveli owners give you. Bhanu ji was there to take care of pretty much everything and it was a wonderful experience talking over a cup of chai or coffee with him.
There was this amazing homely feeling throughout the stay (and I must say, this is a quality of all the Killa Bhawan properties, including KB Cafe).
The haveli is wonderfully furnished and decorated with both traditional and modern furnishings. You can feel it's timelessness with the winding staircase and the ages old walls, still carefully preserved. This, combined with the photos from the owners' lives tell such a great story and add to the soul of this amazing property.
Ample of charging points and a working desk are available as well which made my remote working experience even better.
It's situated hardly 2 mins away from the fort and also from KB Lodge. And it's located right in the middle of a local neighborhood so this IS the TRUE Jaisalmer experience. You get to live like a local.
A tip here: I'd recommend you to book two rooms instead of one even if you're just a couple. That way, the entire haveli would be yours, and trust me there's nothing quite like it. The haveli is an experience in itself.
Very highly recommended.
"Hamari Haveli, previously Hamari Haveli by Moustache, is a cozy, wonderful gem in the main chowk of Gundipara, very peaceful quadrangle in a residential sub-lane yet with ample parking and access opportunity because of its location. A partnership property operated by a very hospitable local elite host from a popular family and a French person, the haveli has the best of ethnic and chic elements to offer. The proprietor is very helpful from bringing personally local breakfast and cuisine for the guest to arranging the best walking tours and guides for you.
It is actually a very old, heritage house which has been well maintained and added with modern amenities like AC, geyser etc, more like a heritage stay, with a feel like a tome-travel without loosing the comforts of the contemporary times. Very close to the entrance of the fort and very much walkable to the main market area too.
Overall, excellent.
"Is it just a hotel-motel?- No!
Is it just a guest house ? -No!
It is a home away from home! It is a Haveli away from your own villa! Though on the hilly area, ‘ Hamari Haveli’ is really down to the golden earth of Rajasthan. Yes, a stay in ‘Hamari Haveli’ is a real Jaisalmer experience. Every nuke and corner of this yellow stonehouse is decorated in typical Rajasthani accent. It is a fusion of heritage and contemporary, traditional and modern. If you are a curious tourist cum reader, there are lovely books that presents pictorial feast of Rajasthan to your eyes. If you are a street walker, you are in the centre of a web of age old narrow Jaisalmer streets! You can walk and reach all major attractions within 10-15 minutes. If you are a good cook, foody and crazy for your own test and tradition, a clean and cosy kitchen with all facility is ready to make you ‘master chef’.
Shri Bhanu Shrimali and his staff are very cordial . Bhanuji has inculcated the essence of indian philosophy of hospitality: ‘अतिथि देवो भव:l ‘- The guest is god. He is a ready guide book of the place, any tourist would like to have one in a new and strange place. He knows the art to make guest feel, he is a family member.
Do experience such par excellence pleasure and hospitality. "
Very nicely decorated and comfortable Haveli. Ideally located close to Jaisalmer fort in the middle of a typical downtown area.
We have been warmly welcomed by Banhu and Kalish. They took good care of us and our kids (local tasty veg food, city visit and handcraft shopping). thank you.
A must discover...
What a wonderful guest house. We spent few day's in Jaysalmer, and it's most definitely the best place in town. Service is perfect, Banu the head manager is so nice and really helpful. And the terrace just perfect. I don't need to speek about the beauty of the decoration, that make you feel really comfortable. Hygiene is very good.
I highly recommend this place.
🙏 Thank you very much indeed for everything , we had a very sweet time with you 🙏
See you soon
"Our family of four visited in December 2019 - our first time in Jaisalmer. Hamari Haveli far exceeded any of our expectations. The 250-year old house is so lovingly and thoughtfully restored.. with all the amenities you could possibly want alongside old-world charm. The rooms are generously sized and extremely clean. We didn't get much of a chance to use the roof (it was cold winter temperatures the time we were visiting..), but will do on our return (which we most certainly will). The hospitality was inspiring - Mr. Bhanu personally took care of our very different interests - connecting us with some hidden jewels in Jaisalmer, given that he knows everyone and everything around! He even took us on a visit to the fort (which was surprisingly close). A very noteworthy point of our stay at Hamari Haveli was the food - fresh cooked, and unbelievably delicious! In every regard - the hospitality, decor, comfort, food and location - Hamari Haveli is most highly recommended!
Jchangra - Bombay - 28 janv. 2020My family and I stayed at Hamari Haveli for four days and the experience was absolutely fantastic! The haveli is lovely and has an old world charm to it, thanks to the use of local textiles and handicraft for the decor. The location is also great as it's a 5-10 minute walk from all the major attractions. Mr. Bhanu and his staff took good care of us, ensuring that we got a taste of the local cuisine (freshly cooked Rajasthani meals!), culture and hospitality every single day. Mr. Bhanu would come to meet us at mealtime and in addition to telling us about the city and it's history, helped us plan our day so that we were able to get the best out of our trip. All in all, the experience was lovely and I'd highly recommend Hamari Haveli as well as the hospitality extended by Mr. Bhanu! I hope to visit again soon!
Aminisha - India - october 2019Finally a real guesthouse! When u book a b&b in Jaisalmer most of the time u will get just an hotel room, this is probably the only guesthouse in Jaisalmer with high standards! Newly renovated, the place is luxurious and very beautifully decorated in real Jaisalmer style with a touch of modern. There are two fantastic rooms with each a private washroom, u can easily forget to stay in a guestroom, is almost a mini private apartment. The kitchen is pretty big and very cosy and the staff is super friendly, u can also enjoy the quiet roof terrace. The manager Bhanu is the perfect host, full of sense of humour, and open for every single request u have, not to mention..... a lovely person. The location is very quiet even if u are 5 minutes walking from the fort, and u are only surrounded by locals and some lazy cow.
Lorenzo – Amsterdam - March 2019Finally a private house that gives you the home feeling. Nice and quiet area with a parking space. Nice view of the fort and walking distance to tourist attractions and the market. A home away from home
Nina – Norway - February 2019Very nice and romantic place to be in Jaisalmer. I really enjoyed my stay in this heritage Haveli. The decoration is charming and so well adapted to the house. All comfort amenities are there, new and functioning. Very clean and best bed I slept in in Rajasthan! The location is superb, right in the centre of the old city, 5 mn walks from all major places of interest. The staff has been very friendly and catering to all my needs, serving delicious breakfast and meal. A special thanks to Bhanu, the host, who know so well how to receive and treat guests. I recommended this place so much and I will try my best to be back!
Caroline – New Delhi - February 2019Bhanu has done up this place beautifully - with small detailed touches to the home. The service was 5* - the host was very helpful. He provided us with a fantastic guide to help navigate through the streets of Jaisalmer and provide us with the local history. Bhanu has a wonder team of caretakers who cooked us breakfast on demand, unlimited teas, and cooked us a wonderful dinner at our kids request. Bhanu himself got us local delicacies to try out for breakfast. He made recommendations on what to do, how to best utilise our time there. Over-all an excellent experience, much much more than we envisioned. We wish him a very successful journey on this property
